ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Ah, the chronic question. I have worked in places that had so much
red (pointsettias, ribbons, etc.) that it looked like a Victorian
bordello. I have also worked in places that do "something for
everyone" in an attempt to be inclusive (which sent an equally clumsy
message about tokenism - frankly I got tired of being asked what we
should do for Hannukah...). Personally, there's enough stuff in
department stores and other venues around town that I suspect people
are sick of it and are looking for a break from it all. Besides,
doesn't it cloud the purpose of the institution and what we are all
about?
Sorry, I get cranky about this.
