Dear Hist'Archers,
We have found a gold-embossed "tom and jerry" punch cup in a 19th century
San Jose assemblage and are looking for reference materials that might help
us date this specimen. It is very similar to this vintage cup offered for
sale on eBay.

Does anyone know of good reference books for this genre of antique?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions -
