When getting powered extractors, the makers either include the motor with the extractor or make a recommendation for the size needed. Question: Would a more powerful motor be more economical over a period of years? I.E. the maker recommends a 3/4 hp motor. Would a 1 hp motor run more economically in electricity use as to pay for the price difference over period of a few year? This might be especially true with a honey pump.
