Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************
The National Science Teachers Association sponsors two awards that recognize contributions to science education in informal settings. The Distinguished Informal Science Education Award honors one NSTA member who has made extraordinary contributions to the advancement of science education in an informal or nontraditional school setting, such as a science-technology center, museum, or community science center. The Faraday Science Communicator Award honors an individual or organization that has inspired and elevated the public's interest in and appreciation of science. Nominations and applications for both of these awards for 2011 are now open. To learn more about them and to access applications, go to www.nsta.org/about/awards.aspx<http://www.nsta.org/about/awards.aspx>.
