Normally BEE-L almost every message sent to BEE-L is approved, however in the past month the number of rejections and messages returned for format correction or other issues has been unusually high.

For simplicity we cut people quite a bit of slack, especially on first offenses, but subsequent occurrences will result in rejection, often without notice. It is a lot of work to return messages or notify offenders, especially repeat offenders, so please make sure you options are set to send you a copy of your own posts. That way, if you don't get a copy, you will know that either we did not get it or it was held back for some reason.

Please note:

* Advertising tag lines are prohibited. That includes ads from free anti-virus software and free email accounts. All these tag lines can be turned off in the options for the service.

* Overt personal attacks, deliberate insults and political slurs are inappropriate for this list. Strong disagreement, politely and respectfully expressed is, on the other hand, perfectly acceptable, and even encouraged.

* Obvious misinformation and/or repetition of dogma are simply rejected without comment.

* Quotes of previous messages are discouraged, and when used should be trimmed and presented inline.

* The beginning and ending of quotes must be identified in an obvious manner by quote marks or other devices so they are not confused with the present writer's comments. Otherwise the message is jumble with the writer seeming to be arguing with him/herself.

* Some quote methods such as use of colour or italics do not work on BEE-L's server and may result in rejection or a request for editing. Please use ", > or ---

Thanks to all who contribute and especially those who take care to make their messages polite, meaningful, informative, and understandable.

At some point, we expect to improve the archive organisation and your co-operation will make the job easier.

_Please note:_ the moderators cannot and do not edit, censor or otherwise alter material submitted to BEE-L. What you write is either accepted or rejected as it is submitted. At present the words of BEE-L subscribers are preserved back to 1989, so please make an effort to be certain your contributions are readable and something you will proud to read in another 23 years.
