Ashley,
This Delaware report on Commercial Roadside Architecture may not provide any archaeological info, but it certainly defines types, and therefore may lead you to some useful info on classification. DelDOT reports can be downloaded from their website as pdf files.

As for the CalTrans reports, I've bookmarked a few. Not sure what you need. Here's the Cypress Freeway report, from the Sonoma U website
http://www.sonoma.edu/asc/cypress/finalreport/index.htm
And here's the SF-80 Bayshore website
http://www.sonoma.edu/asc/sfarchaeology/abouttheproject.htm
But these are both heavily urban projects and probably not what you need. Here's the ASC publications list, where you can browse for other archaeology reports.

AS for the CalTrans website, I'm not sure where you get into the actual reports. Maybe someone else will direct you more specifically.

I'm in San Diego. I recommend you call your local Caltrans and California State Parks offices, and ask to speak to an archaeologist.

I have but I'm not in the loop on how to navigate the websites to find reports/publications. Do you know how?
Thanks,
Ashley

Hi Ashley,
You've probably thought of this, but Caltrans and California State Parks may
have information of use to you.

Hello,
I am working on a dump site that is related to a camp area in California
that once had cabins, campgrounds, a roadside cafe and auto shop between the
1920s and early 1960s. Can anyone offer resources (of particular interest
are CRM reports) that might help interpret the material culture? Those
resources regarding American motoring and vacation trends would be
especially useful.
Thanks!
Ashley
