Perhaps you might survey the mailing list and find out quite a number of interesting results to your question. Hopefully would encourage more of us "lurkers" to share particular interests...research, queen rearing, pollination, honey production, nuc sales, etc
I have been reading the list for about 8-9 years, shortly after I got my first couple of hives. I just recently completed a term as president of our local association which has close to 200 members with all stages of experience from beginners to Master Beekeepers. Thanks to many BEE-L mentors, I am usually able to field most beekeeping questions or refer them to a site that answers their questions.
