Try 'Pollen Identification for Beekeepers' by Rex Sawyer. ISBN 0 906449 29 4. It contains 254 photographs of pollen grains of that many species, each with a scale bar so you can judge the size. The photos give the view that would see through a 400x magnification microscope.
It also tell you how to prepare grains for examination etc. and has a key from which you can narrow down the identification by the presence/absence of standard features.
