Hello,
I am interested in proposing a session for ASTC 2012 about design and use of card and board games for STEM learning in out-of-school settings.
In what ways you have been successful in creating a fun, challenging, and instructive game for middle and high school youth that does not feel like school?
In what settings is game play most effective? Have you tried playing youth games with players from 12- 55+ years of age? If so, did it change the dynamics or learning outcomes? What evaluation strategies have been used to determine the outcomes or impact of the game play?
If you are interested in contributing to this session, please reply to this post. I look forward to hearing from you.
