We have a FLIR IR camera that is part of a biochemistry exhibition and under the wall behind where visitors stand in front of the camera we use lights like the lights airlines use to illuminate the path in airplanes. So visitor are seeing a message "written" in heat by the small bulbs.

I want to hide small point sources of IR behind the posters so that people could detect them with an IR camera. (I work at a radio astronomy observatory -- we're trying to draw some analogies to radio astronomy)
