My question is: How many is too many in one place? I'm envisioning yards of no more than twenty hives. Is this too many for a yard? I realize that hive production will have to be monitored to determine if the hive load is too heavy for the forage of the area. But that is a different matter than there being too many hives in a location and thus fomenting problems with hive health due to hive density.
