Yes, is permeable, but slows the exchange of water. Formic acid is a
relatively small molecule, so can penetrate. Both Dr James Amrine and David
Vanderdussen (Miteaway Quick Strips) have demonstrated that formic, applied
in flash treatment, can penetrate cappings and kill varroa.
