ueen's thorax?
This isn't really necessary as each queen bears her own bar code!
Generally I just apply a blob of paint coloured for the appropriate year to the thorax.
My notes will tell me her number and if I find an uncoloured queen in that hive then there has been supersedure
or I have lost a swarm.
You can buy numbers and glue from appliance manufactuers and I used some a couple of weeks ago marking
not queens but drones. I have some photos of the process but would need step by step instructions to make them
available to all!
