Hi Tobias,
David Hurst Thomas and his team at the American Museum of Natural History
have been investigating the Jesuit mission at St. Catherines Island (on the
U.S. Georgia coast) for the past two decades. You may want to get in touch
with him. He published a monograph of his work there as well (Thomas,
David H. 2008 Native American Landscapes of St. Catherine's Island,
Georgia, vols. I-III. New York).
