Subject: SHA Summer Newsletter--Call for submissions
Greetings,
For historical archaeologists working in California, Hawaii, and Nevada,
this in an invitation to submit a short brief on your current research to
the Society for Historical Archaeology's Summer Newsletter. *The
submission deadline for this issue is June 1st*. Submissions from
historical archaeologists, both members and nonmembers of the SHA, are
encouraged. For further guidelines please see the information attached
below. For examples of previous submissions, follow this link
http://www.sha.org/documents/NewsletterSummer2012final_000.pdf to the
Summer 2012 issue.
Please keep in mind that the society's newsletter is published
quarterly, so if the time is too tight for you to submit for the Summer
issue, consider drafting a news brief for the Fall issue (September 1st).
Feel free to send this email on to others who may be interested in
publishing the results of their research and/or projects in this format.
Many thanks, Kimberly

All materials submitted to the newsletter should be prepared following
the Society for Historical Archaeology Style Guide. [this being a link to
the style guide] Current research contributions should be submitted to the
appropriate current research editors (see above for geographic/topical
areas and contact information) and not to the newsletter editor. Other
submissions should be sent directly to the newsletter editor, Alasdair
Brooks, at *[log in to unmask]*. Unsolicited material will be reviewed by
the editor and published or returned as appropriate. All submissions must
be submitted in an electronic format via email attachment to *
[log in to unmask]* or to the appropriate current research editor. Text
should be submitted as a MSWord file, or alternately as a text only or
ASCII file. Illustrations (drawings and photographs) are encouraged and
will be used as space allows. All illustrations should be sent
electronically, preferably in Tiff or Jpeg format, with a relatively high
resolution (300 dpi or greater). If absolutely necessary, original photos
or drawings may be submitted and will be returned. Guidelines for Current
