HistARchers

IThe message above was sent to ARCH-L as well as HIST ARCH.

I am somewhat surprised that two Hist Arch folks have jumped all over
Lynne Sebastian, without hearing what she has to say.  The other list
serve as a much wider audience that HISTARCH but so far noone there has
done this.

At one time, there was an American ideal "innocent until proven guilty".

I have seen Lynne Sebastian in other venues, and she has seemed a straight
shooter, so I was surprised by the charges made by the Luiseno.  If true,
they seem at odds with Dr. Sebastian's other public persona image.

I have no iron in this fire, but I'd like to ask for a bit of level
headedness.  Let's not pillory a colleague until we know the facts.
