At long last, our book on the archaeology of the gold rushes of the north is available! Robin Mills and I coerced 18 other archaeologists, historians and ethnographers into collaborating on our tour-de-force, ELDORADO! THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF GOLD MINING IN THE FAR NORTH, now available from the University of Nebraska Press. Don Hardesty and Margaret Purser wrote synthetic chapters for us, helping show how our work has application far beyond our subject matter of mining and our locality of Alaska and Yukon. We hope you’ll click on the link below, give us a further look-see, and consider buying a copy.

All royalties go to the Society for Historical Archaeology. We don’t get a cent.
