The Center for Archaeological Research at UTSA is looking for a person
qualified to be a Research Scientist Associate I in the
laboratory/curatorial unit. 
 
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Archaeology or
Anthropology, have MS Office Experience with Word, Excel,  & Access.
Advanced experience in Microsoft Access with the ability to design.  One
year experience in archaeological laboratory analysis and management of
artifacts and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.    Wage is
$10.56 - $16.89/Hourly depending on qualifications.  A Master's degree
is preferred, with five or more years of related research and
supervisory experience.  This is a grant funded position and is
contingent upon availability of funds.

Tasks to be performed will include:

*	process incoming collections, including analysis, design of
Access system to collect artifact information, and entering data in
database. 
*	Database management of existing collections
*	Trains staff, students, volunteers and interns in lab
procedures.
*	Assist Curator in all laboratory procedures
*	Collects and organizes information for various reports
*	Performs other duties as assigned
