that might be a better description, in some ways, but wouldn't make any more sense outside of a relatively small group of people than this "War of Northern Occupation." It sort of requires the same sort of doublethink as the Russian "Great Patriotic War," as distinct from the rest of WW2, or in contrast to the "Patriotic War" against Napoleon. Or, for that matter, remembering the difference between American & European "historical archaeology"
