Folks:

One of the best “perks” from directing the online Museum of Underwater
Archaeology (MUA) over the last few years has been the opportunity to talk
to and work with some of the best people in the field. Our goal has
always been to increase contact between the general public and underwater
archaeologists. It is in that spirit that the MUA is proud to announce
the creation of a guest blogger series on our Underwater Blogger webpage.
Each month some of the leading underwater archaeologists from around the
world will post their thoughts on the important issues facing the field.
We are very proud to announce that Dr. John Broadwater, Chief
Archaeologist at the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, an agency of
the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will be our
first guest. Dr. Broadwater’s post is titled,

“So, Who Cares About Underwater Cultural Heritage?”

We hope you enjoy reading this new feature at the MUA as we work to put
underwater archaeologists in touch with the world.

You can view the Underwater Blogger here: http://muablog.wordpress.com/

Best regards,

T. Kurt Knoerl
