ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I am delighted to launch the super-awesome #scienceFTW: Building Card Games program.

Have you ever thought to yourself: “Hey, where can I find scientists to play card games with me?” Or how about: “Where can I go to design science-based card games?” If so, then #scienceFTW is the place for you!

In #scienceFTW (that is, Science For The Win!) youth will play (and take home copies of) card games about such topics as paleontology, scatalogy, parasitology, astronomy, and biodiversity. Playing with both Museum experts and game designers, they will learn about the science topics AND how to design educational games.

Working with their peers and professionals, youth will collaborate on the development of a prototype for a new Trading Card Game (think Pokemon or Magic: The Gathering) for the American Museum of Natural History that they will able to play with friends and family.

The team involved is super fantastic. Nick Fortugno (founder and CCO of Playmatics) is an incredible game-designer who also just happens to be an excellent educator. He will be working closely with a great crew here at the museum, composed of science educators and others.

Registration is open. If you want more info, or a flyer, please go to:
