I would think infestation at the actual museum would be unlikely, but public places where people gather could be a path for bedbugs to move from one home to another.

Our institution is in the process of establishing a bedbug protocol.

Specifically, we are interested in (1) what steps to take when schools
or other groups with known bed bug problems visit our museum, and (2)
what steps to take if bedbugs are detected in our facility. We have
contacts with our local schools regarding their policies, but realize
that museums have different conditions and issues.

We would be most grateful for your advice, experiences (both good and
bad), and, most importantly, copies of protocols for dealing with the issue.

Thank you in advance for your ideas and assistance.

And many thanks for an awesome ASTC conference!

Cathy
