Hi Randy,
I've been taking your research for granted these many years. I suspect
that many of us do. It's hard to imagine where you get the time to make a
living and do all that you do. It's easy to sit back and criticize. On
occasion I've had an idea that had some interest for me. When I began to
think about control groups, # of hives to dedicate, and the difficulty of
measuring outcomes ...I gave up fast. (Coming from psychology, I know how to
design an experiment).
I'm just glad that someone, somewhere is taking a look at these difficult
things. When you get big enough, someone is bound to be taking pot shots.
Consider it a form of praise. Think of it this way: you're less likely to
learn something from your cheer-leaders.
While I'm on the subject, I'd like to say THANK YOU to all of the regular
contributors and moderators. I think I've read every word of Bee-l for 10
years. I'd start a list but could never get you all on it; I didn't want
anyone to feel criticized. (Grin).
BTW, The gut microbes may lend some data for us humans. Just lately I've
read of the inoculation of feces from one colon to another within families
to initiate healthy colonies of gut flora. Guess what criticism that guy got
when he floated the idea.
