Folks;
I have been using Kelley rip-stop nylon suits with zip-on veils for years.
I like the fact that the nylon is light weight and I can wear a pair of gym
shorts and tee shirt uder the suit and rarely get stung. The suit is light
weight, and once I work up a sweat- which is fairly quickly - it is not too
hot. I began to wear suits years ago when I noticed how propolis was
creeping onto my other clothes after washing whatever I had been wearing
working bees and I do not want to expose my family to bee venom from bee
clothes. My only complaint is that as the zip-on veil ages it tends to
bend inward and stick to the back of my neck so I get stung-up pretty well
back there when the bees are hot or the weather is bad and I must work bees
anyway. I get about two years out of a suit. I am curious to know what
other people prefer in terms of protection - not just from stings but from
propolis and separation of bee clothes from families? How do the one piece
hooded veils hold up? How easy are they to pull back in order to see when
driving from bee yard to bee yard?
Opinions Please....
