I treated 4 yards (240 hives) with MAQS in July. Honey supers were on
most hives. Three yards got one strip per hive, one yard got two strips
per hive. I looked inside hives after 3 days and saw live mites
emerging from the brood. I looked inside after 2 weeks and saw live
mites on the emerging brood at every yard. I checked capped brood and
found happily reproducing female mites.
It definitely decreased the mites a little bit but the hives will
require another treatment next week. I am pulling the honey now and
will treat again with MAQS before splitting and requeening to see if it
works better this time. I am definitely not satisfied, but am willing
to try it again.
