Getting in on trials might be the best way to get your hands on remebee for
those in a number of states if the product will be needing a section 18.
NEVER use a new product for all your bees. Putting all ones eggs in one
basket is never a good idea!
The waiting list grows for section 18's until beekeepers reject the section
18 for Checkmite and the new formic is given a section 3 registration.
Is Hivastan under a section 18 Randy?
Looks like the new formic product will be for 2011.
Section 18 is for EMERGENCY use and states like to give only one for a
product to control a certain pest not three or four. (at least in Missouri)
The most common case of three or four for a single pest is with cockroach
control and I was told ( hope accurate) at least three section 18 products
are available to pest control operators for roaches .
