I like the internet "Cafe" idea. That being a dedicated space/area. But I also believe in encouraging family interaction.  25 years ago we put benches in so parents could chill.  Now we want parents side-by-side with their kids having a shared experience. Benches are for grandparents at best.   Now if the museum was broadcasting it's own internet feeds so that one could get something special while on site that might be cool.

On Beryl's note above I came in one morning and found that someone had managed to INSTALL Blumberg business software on the weather station computer using just a trackball and single button.
