ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************
With support from IMLS and NSDL, through Volunteers Try Science
(VoLTS) an Expert Voices Blog has been opened at the National Science
Digital Library on the topic of volunteerism in museums (especially
[but not exclusively] that having to do with exhibitions and programs
and involve collaborations with universities, volunteer scientists and
engineers). We invite folks who are interested (or even just
opinionated!) on these topics to join in the fray. The first post is
up. Go to http://expertvoices.nsdl.org/volunteer To see Bill Watson's
post (via editor Brad Edmonson) from the Smithsonian. Over the next
few weeks other perspectives will be brought in for discussion. Thanks
all. And especially thanks to all the volunteers that keep science
museums running!
