Just got back from Santa Fe where I met a couple of beekeepers, one had 100
hives and the other had 150 top bar hives. Both didnt treat for mites and
hadnt for years . They said bees in the wild had come back and winter kill
was about 10 to 20 percent. Its too cold up there for africanized bees so
whats going on?? Have bees in Santa Fa finally developed a resistance to
varroa mite.
