Wayne,
Thanks for posting this URL. It is an excellent timeline that contains
several items of which I was unaware.
I was reminded of a statement by Dr. Michio Kaku in a recently broadcast
segment of the "Time" series on the Science Channel. Dr. Kaku stated that
Buddhists teach that time is eternal and has no beginning or end. I mention
this because I am unaware of any activities by Buddhists to lobby for an
alternative pseudo-science dismissing the big bang theory.
On a related note the Science Channel is broadcasting a segment of the
"Understanding" series today entitled, "Evolution - Scientific evidence
supports Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, but controversy surrounds
it."
