Live by politics die by politics.
Judging by the political mess of historical preservation in Maryland and
in particular in Baltimore I think it might be perhaps a good thing
to do away with such political entities and establish ones that are
professional and perminent. Too much negotiation with developers
in my state. They are clearly running it. And should not be. They are
propped up by special interest communities that are only interested
in regulating their neighbors and property values. Too much high society
still and not much history.
