Hi Allen and all

I use a 1 1/2" rim(a la miteaway) on top of each hive with the inner
cover on top. The 2" blue styrofoam goes on the top of the inner
cover and is rabetted on my table saw to fit tightly into the inner
cover rim. A cardboard or coreplast sleeve fits over the whole hive
with the outer cover on top. Many say that they get burr comb in the
space between the topbars and inner cover. This is not normally a
problem for me but this year, one hive with pierco white frames
filled the space. Is this the pierco frames or the bees? All hives
have upper entrances in rim of inner cover and sleeve.
