‘Beeconomy’ author Tammy Horn examines relationship between women, bees

> The grande dame of beekeeping, Eva Crane, once said, “You’ll be a beginner for twenty years.” In visiting different cultures, I am most surprised by the feeling of beginning again every time I stepped into the field. I learn new flowers, new bloom times, new hives, new ways of lighting a smoker, new cultural standards, new languages, new laws, new myths, etc.
