There is no particular reason that either BBKA or the NBU should support
the native bee or any other race of bee. I suspect they use Carnica as thay
are so much more reliable when working with the public.
Carnica do become aggressive if just allowed to cross without any selection
but then so does Amm, also finding a productive and gentle strain is much
easier with ligustica and carnica than Amm.
I have yet to find an acceptable Amm bee I was happy to introduce into my
operation.
