I didn't realize just how many dead and dying there are until I had a
couple of hives about 30 feet from a flagstone patio. The number of
dead and dying on the warm rocks was not trivial. I ended up moving
the hives because, among other things, crunching bees underfoot was
gross, and I didn't want my toddler picking them all the time. (At
least she's not afraid of them!)
