Sean's teapot appears to be Japanese porcelain of a type often called rain
drop.  Mary Beaudrty recently had an article on these wares in *Ceramics in
America.*  These wares occur from the late 19th century into the early  20th
century.  This information is assuming that the teapot is porcelain, which
Sean did not mention.
