Subject: RE: CCC Camps
Jonathan,
If you are interested in CCC camps in general rather than in your
region, you should check out the Ironworld History center in Chisholm
Minnesota. They have an extensive archival collection although I'm not sure
how much of the material culture is discussed. Also, the heritage staff at
the Superior National Forest office in Duluth Minnesota would probably have
some useful information. They have excavated several camps in the region.
Finally, Sue and Stephen Mulholland at the Duluth Archaeology Center (in
Duluth Minnesota naturally) might be of help. Good luck with the research!
