I have now treated my 25 hives four times with oxalic evaporation this fall, twice with a blower unit and twice with Heilyser evaporators, and am at day 59. During that time, I have carefully counted the mite drops on six of the hives daily and recorded my observations and ponderings in my diary at http://www.honeybeeworld.com/diary/
For those who do not want to wade through my daily experiences, but would be interested in having a quick look at the daily drops in tabular and chart form, I have summarized the data on one page -- http://www.honeybeeworld.com/diary/files/drop.htm
I have heard many comment deprecating the use of mite drops for monitoring but think these data speak for themselves.
