ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

In order to generate lift you need laminar (non-turbulent) air flow. Fans throw off turbulent air currents, so need to be passed through some sort of egg crate structure to flatten out the eddies. California Science Center has a display where visitors strap on wings in a wind tunnel, so might be worth checking with them on their experience. Chuck
>> Hello everyone,
>>
>> I am working on "Feel the Lift!" (An exhibit that allows visitors to

>>
>> I am looking for suggestions on what to make the airfoil out of, as well as
>> information on blowers that others have used in their versions of this
>> exhibit.
>>
>> Any help would be greatly appreciated.

>> Kind regards,
