Outreach Opportunity

Saint Louis Science Center in partnership with Moreno/Lyons Productions and the 
American Chemical Society has developed an outreach opportunity aimed at making 
chemistry accessible and exciting to diverse audiences around the U.S. We are 
seeking nine (9) science centers or museums to join the St. Louis Science Center 
in the Search for the Elements Science Center Network. These centers will help 
prototype materials and activities around National Chemistry Week 2011 and 
participate in a targeted outreach campaign during the months leading up to the 
2012 national premiere of a television program called The Mystery of 
Matter:Search for the Elements. Each selected site will receive site money in 
the amount of $10,000 to offset the costs of presenting the activities and a 
Special Event during National Chemistry Week 2012.

Eligible Institutions: Science Centers and Museums

Project Term: May 2011 – November 2012

Site Money Amount: $10,000
