I have written countless responses to various articles which repeat the same errors over and over. People do not want to hear the facts. They look for confirmation of what they already believe.
Hardly anyone these days has a spirit of inquiry, perhaps because they think the average person can no longer think for themselves. Instead, they jump onto any bandwagon that has traction. Above all, people are terrified of changing their minds once they have committed themselves to some cause.
My own pet peeve is when these articles cite the neonic bans in Europe. They never mention that most of them were subsequently lifted. In fact, one source said "bee populations have soared in four European countries that have banned these products"
Soared.
