I'm not a scientist or researcher so not likely I could put together anything meaningful in regards to proof. I did think that the PLoS paper I posted showed that some research has been done. Jim Frazier et al makes mention that there was research showing that honey bee larvae reared in cells contaminated with the miticides fluvalenate or coumaphos show a reduced developmental rate and delayed adult emergence in their article. I believe it was in reference to the same paper. Peter says that it is not clearly shown in the paper.
So I got nothing other than what I learn here, pick up elsewhere and an opinion.
