Yes, well, the fact is it DID meet the standards and was registered.
Those standards temik met was 40 years ago.

Now you are going into an area I clearly know more about than you. Temik was
very effective and like organophosphates better at controlling pests than
their replacement chemicals. Imidacloprid will never be as effective as
temik and imidacloprid will never be as effective as many of the
organophosphates IMID is replacing. The year 2012 is being dreaded by many
growers of crops because of losing many of the most effective
organophosphates. I deal with the growers which trumps an internet search.
Sorry Peter but Temik use in Florida on orange was dropped because of ground
water contamination and was found in oranges & orange juice. Imidacloprid is
banned on orange right before harvest as imid is found in oranges and orange
juice also. Illegal late application and IMID will be in oranges and in
orange juice. Systemic pesticides in food is a problem which for the most
part was never a problem with sprayed pesticides.
A slice of lemon in my glass of water I like. Temik and imid in my orange
juice no!
I try to only eat country eggs from free range chickens from a friend. No
Iowa contaminated eggs & contaminated OJ for me!
Notice Paul is quiet on temik as he doesn't want me to get on my temik
soapbox I suspect!
