I had a call from an elderly couple to remove a bumble bee nest from a wall of their house. The bees are not being a nuisance and, despite my urging to co-exist with them until the killing frosts, they want the nest removed.
I can open up the wall, vacuum up the adult bees, and transfer the nest into a box. My question is - when you set the box in a new location and dump the adult bumble bees next to it, will they find the nest and resume their normal activities? Anybody do this before?
Thank you.
Waldemar
