Hi Bill,
Here in North Alabama, ants are often a real pest. I am not a person to
kill anything, just to be killing. Ants will often cause bees to leave a
hive for no other reason. I have never had fire ants to get into a hive, but
I hope I never do.
Ants mess up a top feeder rather quickly. I found the same treatment will
keep ants away from the hive as well as controlling Small Hive Beetle.
