I looked into this further and am assured that this matter is being
managed and that there is no need for concern about the lapsing of Note
to CAPCO C94-05 on March 2, 2011.
In respect to the previous post, I notice that the comment period is now
well past, back in 2009, with a strong and positive response from the
Canadian beekeeping industry having been received and noted. As a
result of assurances, I am assuming that when the smoke clears,
Canadians will continue to be able to use 65% formic as in the past, in
conformance with safe practices and under advice from our provincial
authorities.
We also expect to have an alternate commercial product for those who do
not wish to handle the raw product or make up treatments, who fit the
conditions for which the product was designed, and are not concerned
about cost. This new product is intended to replace a previous product
which the manufacturer has withdrawn from the market.
