There's nothing mysterious about commercial beekeeping. But when you state that commercial beekeepers spend only one hour per colony per year, you make them sound like bee-herders. I seriously doubt if this number is correct, but you are the one who stated it.
I assume you can tell me how many hives you run and how much time you spend doing it. You give me the numbers and I will do the math. On the face of it, the number sounds completely wrong. By that calculation, one person could manage 2000 colonies with no help and working no overtime. Is this what you are claiming?
