Hi all
Jerry writes:
All beekeepers know that bees are important, however, any book that starts
with a quote of McGregor's 1976 work is starting with out-of-date
information. That's disturbing.
I have an article on the history of pollination coming out soon in the ABJ. In it I mention Keith Delaplane's statement that McGregor is one of the most widely misquoted people. I continue in some depth about what he actually said, and how our knowledge has advanced from there.
If you don't subscribe to the ABJ, you miss a lot. Not just me, but you can read work by Randy Oliver, Jerry Hayes, Mea McNeil, Kirsten Traynor, and many more. Believe me, there is a lot that I don't say on Bee-L because I am saving it for my writing.
Pete
