My concern in this is the pinning the tail on the wrong donkey. If you use
off label mite treatments, keep your mouth shut if you start losing bees.,
It is a bit disingenuous to blame other things for your problems.
The actual issue is with much higher than label doses of a pesticide applied
directly by the beekeeper while pointing their finger elsewhere. One of the
worst kept secrets in beekeeping.
Also agree with Dick that Amitraz is the miticide of choice, even though it
is not registered in the US but is (I believe) in Canada.
