Because the delicate, slowly growing nervous system of the human bears no
resemblance to gophers. The effects of toxins, even at a low level may not
show up for years. As ADD for instance. (Attention Deficit Disorder). Lots
of grade school kids line up at the nurses station for medication these
days. It made the news recently that Parkinsons disease is more prevalent
among farmers. The Amish have an unusually high rate.
